The Echoes of Resistance project is continuing across the UK, South Africa and Barbados. The project includes talks by Joseph Jeffers, a touring exhibition of photographs by Aneesa Dawoojee, and film screenings.

The film has been screened at all four branches of the Home Office and is held in the permanent collection at the Wallington Library and is currently being shown as part of a month long exhibition at Whitehill House.

We are so proud to have been invited to work with Joseph and his team in this project.

The film in Joseph’s words ‘encapsulates the enduring spirit of defiance and resilience in the face of oppression. The title reflects the idea that resistance is not merely a fleeting moment but a powerful echo…’

The film documents research that includes writing workshops, creative dance sessions, discussions and a performance.

We shot over three weeks in Croydon
